Who we are
The Elmwood Volunteer Fire Department is a dedicated group of local volunteers committed to protecting lives and property in our rural community. Since our founding in [Year], we’ve grown from a small team with limited resources into a capable, well-trained department responding to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, and other crises across Elmwood and the surrounding areas. Our members come from all walks of life—farmers, teachers, retirees, students—but share one mission: to serve our neighbors with courage, commitment, and professionalism. We operate entirely on a volunteer basis, giving our time to respond to emergency calls, train regularly, maintain our equipment, and educate the public through community outreach events and fire safety programs. Whether we’re extinguishing a blaze, providing life-saving medical aid, or helping clear roads after a storm, we’re proud to stand ready 24/7 for those who need us. We believe in the power of community and are always looking for new volunteers and supporters to join our mission. If you're interested in helping, learning more, or simply stopping by to say hello, we welcome you to reach out. The Elmwood Volunteer Fire Department is proud to serve—and even prouder to call this community home.
